Note: Government of Pakistan decided to switch over to decimal currency in 1960 and it was enforced from January 01, 1961. It was also decided to surcharge the existing stock of regular stamps with the decimal currency. It was a rush job, which was done through Pakistan Security Printing Corporation, private printing presses and even rubber hand stamping due to shortage of time.
