Originally printed with 63 paisa denomination but revalued, by additional printing, "PRICE 72 PAISA", at the foot of impression to extend its height to 22.00 mm.
Three versions of the envelope were recorded:
1) Without stationery charge.
2) Stationery charge 20 paisa.
3) 35 Paisa as Stationery Charge, (impressed by rubber handstamp).

The cover carrying 63 paisa face value was produced in early 1962. At that time the stationery charge was not mentioned in printed form but was rubber stamped "SC-9 paisa". Before this denomination was issued in 1966, it was revalued to 72 paisa. According to official notification, the value was made up as follow:
13 paisa letter rate, 50 paisa registration fee and 9 paisa stationery charge. Therefore, the Registered Letter was not needed to be rubberstamped to denote stationery charge separately.
